Courtesy Visit of Tanzania’s Minister of Livestock and Fisheries to Seychelles’ Minister for Fisheries and the Blue Economy- Mr. Jean Francois Ferrari, on Friday 28th February, 2025 at the Ministry of Fisheries and the Blue Economy at Maison Collet.
On the sidelines of the 3rd Ministerial Conference on Fisheries under the Regional Fisheries Surveillance Plan, the Principal Minister and Minister responsible for Fisheries and the Blue Economy, Mr. Jean-François Ferrari, received a courtesy visit from Tanzania’s Minister of Livestock and Fisheries, Hon. Dr. Ashatu Kijaji.
Discussions focused on potential collaboration in fisheries, particularly in knowledge sharing, as Tanzania seeks to learn from Seychelles’ experience. Principal Minister Ferrari reaffirmed Seychelles’ commitment to transparency and openness in the sector, emphasizing the country’s willingness to share its expertise.
Additionally, Principal Minister Ferrari extended an invitation for Tanzania to consider joining the Fisheries Transparency Initiative (FiTI), further strengthening regional cooperation in sustainable fisheries governance.
