CALL FOR APPLICATION – LEGAL EXPERT, SADC MCSCC BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and Blue Economy invites suitably qualified Seychellois candidates to submit applications for consideration for the position of Legal Expert on the Board of Directors of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Fisheries Monitoring Control and Surveillance Coordination Centre (MCSCC).

The MCSCC is a regional organisation established by SADC Member States to coordinate measures aimed at strengthening fisheries monitoring, control and surveillance and combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing in the SADC region.

The selected candidate will serve on the Board of Directors for a period of two (2) years, renewable for a further period not exceeding two years.

Candidates should possess the qualifications, experience and competencies outlined in the Terms of Reference. For the Legal Expert position, relevant legal qualifications, knowledge and experience in environmental, fisheries, maritime law, natural resource governance, public international law and related sectorare required.
