To commemorate Children’s Day, the Department of Blue Economy conducted an activity at Maison Colette on Thursday 01st of June 2023.
The activity simultaneously merged children’s day with the growing possibilities of the Circular Economy.
3 businesses within the Circular Economy: Feli’s Gems, Sey Treasure, and Green Generation Seychelles had the opportunity to showcase how to make arts & crafts and jewelry by upcycling discarded materials. The purpose of the activity was to raise awareness among young people about the available prospects in the circular economy and allow them to interact with entrepreneurs and gain an understanding of the procedures and resources involved in producing these goods.
The event ended on an exceptional note as all the children successfully created a variety of crafts and artwork that showcased the many different aspects of the Circular Economy.
