Call For Pitcher – Forum régional des Jeunes sur l’entrepreneuriat dans l’économie bleue (Seychelles, du 28 novembre au 2 décembre 2022)

The ‘Regional Youth Forum on Entrepreneurship in the Blue Economy’ is being organised by the OIF (Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie) and their partners. The Forum will be held from the 28th of November to the 02^nd of December 2022 in Seychelles and is expected to bring together around 150 to 200 people.

The Forum is open to young participants from the following 5 countries: Comoros, France (Réunion & Mayotte), Madagascar, Mauritius and Seychelles. Experts and representatives of national and international institutions will come from the countries of the region and from outside the region.

For the 5 days of the forum, the participants will have the opportunity to participate in different activities such as high-level dialogues, exhibition fairs, training sessions on business models, pitching sessions, amongst others.

As mentioned above, there will be a pitching sessions involved in the forum which will include the participants who register for pitching their ideas during the forum. A total of 10 ‘best pitchers’ will be selected at the end of the 5 day event and there will be a reward which will be determined by the OIF.

Profile of Pitchers:

• The participants have to be entrepreneurs or holders of business projects in a traditional or emerging sector of the blue economy in Seychelles.
• Aged between 18 and 35 years maximum.
• Has to be a Seychellois.

Selection criteria : The selection of participants will be made on the basis of age, experience in the sector of intervention, ability to take initiatives, eco-citizen commitment and the quality of file (presentation, quality of writing, complete file, etc.).

The deadline for application to participate in this event is – 14th October 2022
